THE Hairstyle To Try This Fall: The Knotted Ponytail

THE Hairstyle To Try This Fall: The Knotted Ponytail | Kayla Lynn

Happy first day of fall everyone! As the weather starts to turn cooler and we begin to trade in our sunnies and denim cutoff shorts for cozy knits and boots, we also begin to say goodbye to our long, beachy summer locks. Fall is the perfect season to refresh your look with an edgy new haircut or to begin to tame those wild waves into new hairstyles. Already one style has emerged as this fall's cool-girl hairstyle: the knotted ponytail.

It's a hybrid between a braid and a low ponytail, and I for one am ABOUT it. You can pull the knot tight or braid it loosely and pull some strands out to create a perfectly carefree look that will pair well with your loose, chunky knits. I love this hairstyle because it's easy to achieve and a great way to mix up a plain old ponytail or braid. It's especially great for working with second day hair; just throw in some dry shampoo or some sort of texturizing product and you're in business.

Check out this look below and try different variations (like a knotted side pony) for a chic, easy fall hairstyle.
